BHSAA, Inc. Establishes Endowment Fund Over the past 10 years, the Buchtel High School Alumni Association, Inc. has raised over $25,000 in scholarships and financial assistance for Buchtel High School.   None of this would be possible without the dedication of the BHSAA, Inc. officers, board members and the support of the community.    The Buchtel High School Alumni Association Inc. is a non-profit 501( c )(3) organization that has created a first within the Akron Public School District; an established endowment fund.   The endowment is the culmination of a dream that began 10 years ago with the vision of former President and Lifetime Member Russel C. Neal, Jr. and other founding members of the association. The BHSAA, Inc. presents students with scholarships at the annual Senior Class Awards Banquet held in May.   The BHSAA, Inc. fund is the second high school alumni endowment fund at the Akron Community Foundation, but the only endowment for an Akron Public School.   The cost of membership is $25 annually or $250 to become a Lifetime member.  All donations are tax deductible.  By joining the BHSAA, Inc., you help deserving students continue their education.  The easiest way to join is to send a check or money order to the BHSAA, Inc.
